Putting My TRUKD Bed Racks to the Test

A few months ago, I picked up a set of TRUKD T-Series bed racks that I found on Facebook Marketplace. I bought them with the intention of eventually putting a rooftop tent on the truck, but in the meantime, I figured I’d find some other uses for them.

Recently, I had the perfect opportunity to put them to work. I used the racks to hold a cargo carrier for a vacation, giving me some extra room for everything I needed to bring along.

I wasn’t sure exactly how the racks would handle having a loaded cargo carrier mounted to them, but after getting everything secured, I had no concerns. The racks were extremely sturdy and didn’t move or flex. Even with the carrier loaded up, the whole setup felt solid.

I drove a good distance with it, including highway driving, and everything worked flawlessly. There was never any reason to question whether the racks could handle the weight.

For something I picked up used on Facebook Marketplace, I’ve been really happy with them. They’ve already proven themselves useful, and it’s nice knowing I have a solid rack system ready for whatever I decide to put on the truck down the road.

One other thing worth mentioning is my experience with TRUKD. Their customer support has been great, and Jake in particular was really helpful when I had questions about the racks. It’s always nice dealing with a company that stands behind what they make. Based on the quality of the racks and the support I’ve received, I’d say TRUKD makes a really solid product.
